David,
Keep us updated from time to time as to how your cable modem service/performance is. If others on this thread are using a cable modem I would also like to hear from you too. Just wondering how badly the cable modems will crush the ADSL modems because of the slow roll outs of the RBOCS ( phone company ).

I've had my cable modem for over 3 months or so. I originally
had a regular ISP account that costed me 19.95/month, but i'd
figure i'd pay $39.95/month for a zillion times faster connection.
ADSL modems costed too much so i opted for the cable modem. My
experience with the modem is 2 thumbs up. I get FAST download and
upload speeds. I can send and retrieve a 10 meg file in 30-60 seconds at times. Only problem that I've had so far is that sometimes I get noise on my line so the modem connection gets a little hay-wired That might happen a couple times a day, but usually only lasts for a minute or so. Otherwise, i would get a cable modem if your area offers them cause they sure are worth it.
