cman: I still laugh uproariously when I think of Evans hunched over a desk on NEW YEARS EVE, literally, trying to crank out a press release to slam ABTX. DO THE DISINFORMATION HOUNDS WHO ARE FEEDING HIM not realize the absurdity of that one event on it's own ? I'm laughing again I catch myself. Couple of comments on New Year's.... * Kinda pot/kettle when it's coming from someone that spent much of New Year's Eve posting on the Internet, don't you think? * Just in case you have not been following the news....the second closing date for the API deal was supposed to have been 12/31/98. So, you and "r.edwards" been out hyping the stock anywhere lately? drakes353

c-man, who cares if a short posted the news today or not, it is welcomed! As suspected, ABTX responded quickly and decisively. Two phrases I picked out (the first I can almost repeat in my sleep) that are significant for us longs are: 1. "The company is proceeding on schedule with the previously announced strategic alternative process" (I love the way ABTX management keeps reinforcing the obvious to both WS and us shareholders.......and they have once again echoed this on 1/8/99 !) 2. "The lawsuit is without merit"........ (Let's move on and find something with more substance for the shorts to whine about). Mark
