How many shares is this $33 commission difference attributable to? 1,000 shares? = 3.3 cents. Personally, I would not "day-trade" unless I am making some good returns. I don't mind sharing a little with my broker friend, so long as my house is bigger than his and my swimming pool is deeper. It is good to have a relationship with a broker even if you trade online (as I do). You never know when you need to DTC some shares to relatives or you need to sell some unlisted warrants.

Waterhouse gave me the web broker rate of $12 because this is not available on the web

Mike, you say, if you are in the USA, the only way to buy BID.COM (TSE:BII) is over the telephone and you are forced to pay a high commission of $45.00. Is that $45.00 US DOLLARS? IF it is,that's $68.00 Canadian dollars. That's quite high compared to the $12 (Cdn$18.00??) web price.???
