IMALL adds merchants at stuff.com site, stock gains

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Jan 7 (Reuters) - IMall Inc. IMAL.O
said on Thursday that Stuff.com, its Internet shopping search
system, plans to add 14 name-brand merchants and now offers
online shoppers a choice of more than 2 million items.
Merchants whose products are now available at
stuff.com include Toys R Us TOY.N, Skechers, Music
Boulevard, Pet Warehouse, Seattle's Finest Gourmet Coffee,
Fitness Zone, Candy Direct, Game Keeper and OfficeMax OMX.N.
Coming soon are SkyMall SKYM.O, OnSale ONSL.O,
Rubbermaid RBD.N, Omaha Steaks, and Netmarket, a unit of
Cendant Corp. CD.N, iMall said.
IMall shares gained $2 to $18.25 in Nasdaq trading Thursday
morning following the announcement. The stock, which hovered
around $6 last summer, rocketed to nearly $33 two weeks ago but
has traded lower since Christmas.
IMall said it has also added feature enhancements to make
shopping at stuff.com easier, including a keyword search method
that allows a user to quickly scan through the millions of
products in the database.
Search results now include greater product detail; links to
the specific page on the retailer's Web site where the product
can be purchased; and mapping features that allow the consumer
to get directions to a retailer's "brick and mortar" stores.
Stuff.com also provides an informational page on every
product it carries. This allows the user to "try on" each
product by viewing a photo and item description, as well as
learning the price, shipping information and e-mail contact.
