Guardian , happens on the Naz all the time. There is no centrally acting center like the Dow Jones. These free wheeling MMs from all over do whatever they want. Often, to make 100% sure that my order gets executed, I'll have my order sitting there well ahead of time ( 1 -2 days ) just to make sure that I am sitting there like a log in the middle of the road and I get picked up before anybody moves past me. There is not much you can do about it,

Guardian, there is a history of market makers pulling this crap. I read several stories in the papers recently about it. I would go after DLJ hammer and tongs. Send copies of your stuff to the SEC also. Make a big stink and it is likely that you won't have to resort to legal action.

DLJ may have locked you in to binding arbitration on the issue, depending on any agreements you signed.

Good luck!
