Off topic, but important!

Help, anyone. I've been trying to move an IRA account from one broker to another because my current broker has a $5 price limit on stocks for IRA accounts (and I want to buy DCTC BEFORE it gets to $5). Based on what my current broker has told me, the only way to transfer the account is to submit a transfer request to the new broker who will then solicit the IRA funds from the current broker. This is turning out to be a real pain in the butt, and very slow.

Does anyone know if there is a quicker more efficient way to transfer an IRA account? If you can help, I will be your eternal servant. Well, maybe that's overstating it a bit. But, I will be very grateful if someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks.
