In the civil case, CDN is asking for treble damages, or $1.2 billion. This is about $40/share, which is about double AVNT's current market value.

In the criminal case, I believe that not only are several managers being arraigned, but also the company itself. As a company obviously can't be sentenced to jail time, if it's found guilty it would be fined by the court, and the money would go to the government. I have no idea how much this could be.

There was discussion on the AVNT thread several months ago about what would happen if a bank robber started a business with the stolen money. I believe an attorney told us that when he was finally found guilty of bank robbery, he would forfeit not only the money he stole, but everything he had gained by it. In fact, we often see police agencies seize drug dealers' mansions, Ferraris, etc.
