Hello Chris;

If I have the C right??

I have been thinking the same thing with the duo offer by Barrick, aka $5.50 private virsis $4.00 public.........a controlled shakeout maybe has been occurring??

I would assume also that Barrick has since been purchasing on the open market since declaring a hostile takeover publicly. With the expiration of the offer as of last night midnight I believe, we should be hearing one way or another how much they now own??

This should have a significant effect on whether we will see an offer by another suitor?? Since ABX controls 40% and also owns approx 10% of ARP as last publicly declared, would this not be a detriment to any potential suitor??

I still can't get it out of my head that ABX somehow controls the destiny of ARP, when you look at all the logistics etc that would be involved with this property, they do appear to have the upper hand, strictly because of the location of this property.

I have to agree in what you have mentioned" that it is ridiculous to think that ABX will not come out with a better offer"??

It has what I have maintained all along, shake the tree a bit and see what can fall, and then do the final offer to scoop up the holdouts??

Like you said it is a crap shoot for now??

With regards,Frank
