If I remember correctly, San Fran also won a game earlier in the year against Indianapolis in which the refs made some horrible calls. I think the league even admitted, after the game, that the refs had blown it.

I live in Atlanta, and I can tell you that the city is still a bit skeptical. A win this weekend would change a lot of minds. Falcons-Minnesota??? It could happen.

Speaking of blown calls, I've never seen more blown calls that changed the outcome of games, ever. Reply will be back next year.
At last years, super bowl one could see the beginnings of the downslide for Green Bay. You hit the nail on the head, that weak schedule helped Green Bay get where they shouldn't have been.
Meanwhile, teams more deserving than GB got saddled with tough schedules early and could never recover. Luck of the draw I guess.
