>>Funny you say that. Because I get the feeling that you are all E-Traders trying to bag on AMTD with this negative hype.

Now that's an even funnier statement, and a little bit of reaching on your part. If I didn't have an account with them, how could I cut and paste the print from their site when it is down??

Go look at the posts I made just this morning again. It's from their site. Maybe you don't have an account with them, otherwise you would reconize those words.

FTR, I have no position currently on AMTD. I have tried to short it several times this morning, but can't get any shares to short. i have also played it long in the past. My ego isn't that big to think I could have the power to change what happens to the stock price, get real.

>>Regardless of the problems....or lack of problems...I still feel that we should be using this board as an equity forum....not a customer service helpline.

Well, we don't agree. First, I don't use this for a help line. I use it to vent. And maybe if we yell loud enough they will make the site a better place instead of neglecting it to pour all the money into those bogus T.V. commercials.

I really don't want to get into any flaming match here with fellow SI members, but if you can't even admit there is a problem, I suggest you remove your rose colored glasses.

sir, we are using it as an investor forum.

A. West i'm picking up from this thread that there are 2 general categories of "ameritraders"...a small % like us that are also on this circuit, trade frequently and even in relatively obscure stocks like amtd. THEN there is the overwhelming majority of ameritraders who trade fairly infrequently and are not keen on saving minutes of time...or seeing a balance every night. my recurring point is based on ever-increasing hold times & scads of new trader-employees, this company seems to be growing customers at better than avg pace. Even the most disgusted ameritraders acknowledge that they know how to market. put another way...if those of their customers who trade much less frequently than you or me are upset with their service, why are hold times spiking?
