Bruce, If it was a question of discussing the "issues" in Bob's post one at a time, in some sort of detail, I might be more amenable. But there's so much of it, and the distortions and cross-linkages are so grandiose and ideologically based, and so thoroughly undocumented and unreferenced, that it's almost impossible not to dismiss it as Bircher trash. To do otherwise would be like picking up shotgun pellets and flinging them back one at a time. If nothing else, I simply haven't got the time. I'm interested in seeking practical solutions to real-world problems. Ideological grandstanding from left or right bores the hell out of me. I can sometimes devote a little time to an answer, but it has to be minutes, not hours. Taking off now to do real things; hiking a jungle volcano with the family today, paddling kayaks tomorrow. Monday is work, which I don't mind breaking away from for the occasional discussion of the abstract... ;-) Steve
