Thank you my friend. When we first encountered Lindsey she was pinned to the floor by her Dad who had disarmed her of a knife. The only item she wanted to take with her was this doll which she clung to throughout our contact. She has been having violent rages since she was a baby (!) according to her parents and on through the years, I believe stemming from the abuse she endured for some time before it was discovered. The person has been dealt with by the courts. You would have to see what level of self mutilation she has gone to. Her arms are a mass of scars and burns she has inflicted upon herself. She told me she deserves it. I am no psychologist but I believe the doll punching is a carry over of the same. She might be equating hurting with loving or wanting to wrench love out of someone, or she perceives this doll as herself. She is very child like in her mannerisms but is intelligent. The treatment she is receiving is medication of course. From a spiritual aspect what she has endured is an incredibly evil doorway. She told me she hates God because He must hate her. I told her the same verses that you gave from Matthew 18 and of His special love for children. One reassuring thing was that she was not adverse to being prayed for. I suspect the parents fear her to an extent (their own safety). She is not a small girl and has been fostered out to group homes as a result. She had been home for a visit.
