It sure can my friend. If you are daytrading you can open up a few Window screens which could include one for the VIX with Bollinger Bands and another window for the stock(s) with the BB setup at quote.com Type in VIX and it will give you a daily or weekly average. And, you can see it on a delayed basis for free. Click on the high, low, last window and it toggles to actual trades and size. That way, you can see how the MMs are jerking the stock and the size of the bids! You can know when you can get a better price.
