BROADCAST.COM... This stock was up 50% TODAY!!!! Henry Blodget, the CIBC Oppenheimer analyst who made Amazon.com move, was talking this one up. (Hey Blodget, who broke your arm? The guy has a broken arm!! He tries to hide it on TV!!! He used to be a journalist!! What happened?!) Blodget is the new GOD. Where does he live? What does he eat? What does he smoke, drink? How can I get some?!?! (Oh can it! I'd love to!!) Anyway, Broadcast.com went up $65.50, to $197!!!!! WHAT?????? >From $32 in October. (It had hit $230 earlier in the day, when trading on it was stopped.) Competitor RealNetworks climbed too, $9.50 to $50. AMAZON.... Traded near $200 today, but closed up only $1, to $160. If you had bought only $18,750 of the stock on May 15, 1997--it's IPO, stock came out at $3--you would be an Amazon millionaire today. Hey friend, we're giving money away over here!! Loose Change Employment report turned out to be very strong, the economy ain't slowing down folks!!! Bond yields are now at 5.28%. Watch those risin' bond yields.... I dunno, if the market keeps soaring, and the numbers keep comin' in like this, the FED may RAISE rates!!... Moto, Intel, AMD, Apple, Yahoo all doin' earnings next week. Earnings?!?! Who cares anymore?!?! This market is on crack!!!... Look for me on Weekend Squawk Box (That's CNBC folks).... On this day in 1987, the Dow passed 2,000.... Southwest was upgraded by Morgan Stanley, Lehman was upgraded by Merrill, and I was upgraded by (STOP!).... Financials looking pretty good all around (the outside).... Notice we didn't mention Washington, NOT ONCE!!!!... Hoop: Teams I don't think are really that good: UCLA (hey, Maryland whumped 'em!) and UCONN (play someone please--no, not NOVA).... Hey remember that tune "Sylvia's Mother"? Boy was that a dog!!!! Hope you sing it all weekend. Alligator!!!!
