Beach,

Tim can't predict the future or have an explanation for every turn that the market makes. Everyone needs to do there own DD and decide whether they are comfortable with the positions they are in. If not, they should bail regardless of what anyone else thinks. However, picks like XYLN are about as close to a sure thing as I can think of. At least on a long term basis. Have been holding it since 11, and armed with the information available, refuse to sell below 25.

In the case of OMPT, I wasn't quite as comfortable and bailed at 14. I also think I may regrete it next week as It will probably gap higher on Monday and leave me behind. Regardless, the decision was mine.

Wishing you the best of luck, DW

Thread, I think the primary reason for the OMPT drop this PM was that MCI/WCOM announced this PM that they "were not interested" in bidding for ATI. Although this thread has some speculation about BEL or BT buying OMPT, I think that alot of the run-up in OMPT has been based on the theory that whoever does not get ATI (WCOM, VOD, etc.) will be the one to end-up with OMPT. With MCI/WCOM out of the running for ATI because they/Ebbers believe they don't need wireless to compete with T and FON, I think some folks wanted to "take their OMPT $$ and run" since one potential, large suitor is out of the bidding for wireless (for now). Unless the rumor on this thread has legs, I would be surprised to see a big run-up on Monday. But since the probability of OMPT getting acquired or receiving equity infusion from large telecom soon is really high, I don't see too much down risk in holding either. Congrats to anyone who found this thing at $5 a few months ago. A 3X run-up is pretty impressive.
