Can anyone help me answer some of these troubling questions.

1.Anyone hear or see any PR news from TI or Mot on their DMT chip set?
As I remember back last year they both were due to release their final mass market DMT chip set sometime in January 99. I sure hope that they hold true to this, because if the date slips again on their release, this will be about 4 years of waiting and false promises.

2.After the release then doesn't Westell have to retest and debug the whole ADSL system using the new DMT chip set? Then go for another FIELD TRIAL with this new mass market DMT chip set.

3.If all this is true, then aren't we talking another 6 to 9 months of further delays?

I am trying to look at this as objective as possible and it really makes me sick. ADSL has many struggles between ILEC's, CLEC's, RBOC's, FCC regulators, G-Lite ADSL or Regular ADSL.

4. Does the Cable modem industry have many struggles like ADSL has?
If so, why are they so far ahead of ADSL in deployment when people were saying 2 years ago that Cable modems would never take off ?
