Brian: I think you know the answer to that one <g>. Asset inflation is definitely more dangerous as it finds its way into the economy in the form of additional spending power. I would think Alan feels real secure having those additional rate reduction cards in the vest pocket in case the economy should slow sufficiently. Alan has the ability to drive with one foot on the brake in the form of high real interest rates and the other on the gas should he heave to use one of those cards.
