re:"INTC announces slightly better prospects than already known, what do you think?" They already did this weeks ago, I don't think you will see it happen again next week. I don't think it should happen this close to earnings either. jim

Technician I agree. I believe that money coming in from small investors has been going to the stocks getting the news. yahoo etc. (yahoo only a pun) When intel comes out with numbers it will get their attention again. We may even get a lift on Monday because Abbey mentioned intc on Wall Street Week. Now to read Barrons to see if any intc news. That outfit always moves mentioned stocks on Monday. People seem to forget the interviewees on Barons are pushing their own stocks.<G>
