Just downloaded and installed the update for the beta. I tried to use Ascii-export to update a directory. In the directory has two ".lst" file which contains a group of stocks to be updated. I am not sure what format the list file should be, but got the "error" pop-up with "Unable to read the specified format" message on the first symbol.

my list of symbols is simple with one line for each symbol.

The list file format is just that, one symbol per line.

Make sure that the directory contains only the .lst files.

Start the ASCII export program.

click on Specify Automatically Updated Directories.

If your directory is not in the list box, then click on Add to add the directory.

Once you have the Add/Edit window open - it's titled "Define attributes for automatically updated directory", highlight on of the formats in the bottom list box.

The click Save, and then Save Changes.

Then click Update a directory now, highlight the directory you just added, and click Update the selected directory.

This sequence works here, and should work for you. The message you're getting implies that there is something wrong with the format string, this procedure should correct it.
