Check out Corel (COSFF), which is porting many of their applications to LINUX. It looks like their stock is taking off. Applix (APLX) may also be worth looking into. Good luck. tfk

Send ALL your money directly to me at the address below. I am starting a company to build a graphical interface for Linux that is better than the crap that is out there (X). Gnome will never be done and KDE is clunky compared to Win 3.0. Everybody hates me on this thread because I want to develop it as commercial software.. Open source works when you have 2000 employees and charge 100 dollars an hour to fix 50,000 customers problems.. with 9,000,000 customers it is doubtful that consulting would work as a major support item for a bottom line.. The Paradigm is the Berlin GUI. But Berlin will also never be done. The way to do it is to hire 30 programmers, write it and sell it with a completely open, JAVA and GIMP API with PS and XML display with all X legacy code as "pass thru". Why not. Just keep the kernel a binary so you won't ge swamped with giveaways and the hooks and Headers are open .. Alladin and Sendmail do a version of this and all major code for Linux is centrally approved anyway.. It has already been done in another UNIX house and the base code may still be available.. Cost 2 million.. return at 75 per unit estimated 350 million.... After the installed base is in the single user systems could be made open source for Version 1.2 and the commercial network enterprises charged for.. target.. 1 million networks at 2500 per at 10% market penetration.. 250 million... Need 1000 employees/associate marketers/consultants to keep the company viable by that time.. AVG income of marketers/cons 150K per yr.. A big market?
