strange market. Dow + 1.11%, Nas + .79% S&P + .42%, yet i look at some of the mutual funds that have done super last year, Janus-20, up 73% in '98, -.45% today, Putnam GRowth Opportunity, up 48% in '98, down .54% today. Putnam OTC Emerg Growth, + 11% in 98, was up 1.88% today. I raised some cash, sold some Cendant Income Prides at 36 from 24 entry, and bot some T for long term account. Am thinking of raising some more cash. Flips today were profitable, but not spectacular. Made money on sptr, lsi, nxtl. letting oxhp and hypt ride. CBS broke out nice, could run to 40. But, like you said, rick, why do i feel i'm loosing ground. INKT jumped, then closed down, MSFT was down, YHOO jumped big, held about half of it. the froth is getting frothy. the mutual fund returns are of concern to me. the best funds did not participate in todays rally. make the rally suspect? old? hey rick, still have the map that shows how to get to the bear cave? larry
