Ross vs ORCL?

You guys are making a bet on appreciation? In this frothy market?

Y2K spending may have peaked, but that doesn't mean that the fear of y2k nuclear winter impact on enterprise sw spending won't kill the vendors stock prices.

mid market isn't immune from disasters. witness clrs and dozens of other midmarket vendors like qad. JDEC is next.

ROSS has put out more press releases than any company I know. The entire area seems to be a questionable place to play.

At least Oracle has a huge services operation and the database/internut derivative play to keep it propped up.

TTF, when does jdec blow the quarter? they're doubling the sales force right as demand is peaking. Let's see, price pressure, increasing expenses, and gee the new sales guys didn't turn on the productivity as quickly as we expected, darn, we're reporting a loss this quarter. Oh well, we've been dumping shares to chuckie's minions for the last 8 quarters.

We're reduced to making ROSS bets on the JDEC thread.

What does that tell you about JDEC....

Sell.
