Brian,

Your response was thorough and insightful. I appreciate it. I'll do some thinking and research on what you stated, and the associated resources you indicated. Guess it may be time for me to crawl out of the box of value investing.

Excellent posting, Brian.

May I recommend
Crossing the Chasm,
Inside the Tornado,
and The Gorilla Game all by G. Moore.

These focus on product strategies in the 90's for high tech companies, and the last one takes the model into investment strategies.

Brian-Excellent post!! I skimmed the long article, and bookmarked it along with the other links for further review.

Re: .. trapped in a suboptimal state space due to self-constructed boundaries. In '97 I passed on CSCO as the PE fell outside my parameters for "fair value" and I bought COMS because it was "cheaper" (just before the USRX merger). Summer and fall of '97 I began building my position in CSCO. I concur with your statements, but the internuts still scare me<gg>

Have a good weekend.
