re institutional ownership.

my info as of jan.1 shows that 140+ institutions own 8.338 million shares or 36+ %. institutional ownership is up 2.831 million shares in the past 90 days.

there was an sec filing yesterday to sell restricted shares. can't access the details yet.

Go to the news thread, I am inclined to say you are being to bullish. That's OK, you are the RMBS bull! <gg>

Just be a bit more realistic. Gosh, you read some of those articles and you wonder if and when RDRAM and RIMM products will make it to market!

I still need to digest them all but, remember, I was the one being cautious awhile ago on testing equipment and a more realistic ramp up....

PS- I will admit, one article paints a rosy picture and the other makes you think RMBS will not go into volume production until '01.

"200 million not as planned. several months ago the forecast was for 90 million. then we started hearing 125-150 million with demand as high as 200+ million. now we see production at 200-250 million. "

The projections made by RMBS themselves were

1999 5% of the DRAM market
2000 30%
2001 60%

Question 1 How much is 5%?
Question 2 When must it start selling (in highend?) boxes to achieve the 5% market share this year?

Any of you statisticians have any answers?
