Thanks Craig. You are a welcomed player at our earnings table! Since length of posts may be an area that I too should be more conscientious I will share only this on the "WHISPER NUMBERS!" Sorry was I shouting?:) The "Consensus Earnings Number" when perceived as lower than the correct estimate of the "Actual Reported Earnings" creates a "Whisper Number". The strength of the "Whisper Number" and its influence on the stock price depends on the perceived weakness of the "The Consensus Earnings Number" and the reaction of the stock price to the actual "Reported Earnings". The "Whisper Number" is only recognized as such when it is higher than the "Earnings Estimate". So the "Whisper Number" is the "Earnings Estimate" plus some added number. Those elements that go into the added number were recently discussed by some of us. Now more to the nature of your post. You know I am On the Quiet so how could I disagree about keeping our "intelligence" from falling into the hands of the enemy!:) There are others who have more experience with the history and mechanics of this sort of thing. Hopefully you and others can get something going with a PM thing as you suggest. Regards QT
