I could see it happen. It is a roll of the dice, though.
I would wonder if MANU's products are compatible with SAP.
Are they written in SAP? If so, the credibility of the rumor goes up.

MANU - FYI - Manugistics is supply chain software, one area SAP (and other ERP software products) don't cover well, yet. In the past, MANU maintained natural software hooks between MANU and SAP for ease of interfacing supply chain with SAP materials management. For about a year or so, MANU has not kept up with hooks for the latest releases of SAP, putting the interface development burden on customers if they wanted to use both products.

I hadn't heard the buyout rumors, but SAP would be the best fit for MANU since they have worked together in the past. I wonder who else is looking to acquire MANU if not SAP? JDEdwards, Oracle, BAAN, Peoplesoft, IBM???

Hmmmmmm, with the Peoplesoft / IBM rumors, this would be a leg up in the industry if IBM bought Peoplesoft & MANU.

p.s Sorry about your bad experience trading. I've had a few myself -- and still learning the hard way. Good luck and thanks for the DD you've been doing.
