I can't see how a Diamond V2 option (at a higher than retail price) is big news. I wonder if the news would have more do do with Rendition (which Micron bought) and the new video chip iterface that Micron had been working on. Plus, Micron Electronic's parent, the memory company, has been working on embedding ram right into video chips, maybe there is something there. 3Dfx has a ton of cash. When asked about it, they always say that it is for potential acquisitions - like a design house. Well, that's my wild-assed guess early Saturday morning before I've had any coffee ... Michael

Isn't TMF Puck one of their writers? Micron has been selling V2 for a long time now. See post to that effect: techstocks.com However, they were on our short list of likely Banshee adopters. Probably a Banshee announcement. Hope its' STB! Joe C.
