It is interesting that the FDA had time to approve a canine anxiety product last week

>> To paraphrase someone, "Can't we all just get along?" <<
Will, I think that might be possible in the near future. I see hopeful signs.

Due to ancient, half-remembered misunderstandings and aggressive responses, tons of hostility and hard feelings accumulated on this thread.

Last August, we tried to "stuff it" -- we actually employed a four-point plan -- and since then we've had a pretty decent "cease fire." The relative calm we've enjoyed is no accident. It's been possible ONLY because ALL parties to all the squabbles have exercised restraint. i insist on giving them all lots of credit -- and i resist any attempt to assign innocence or blame to either side.

Our 4-month cease fire was better than the old war, but it was never a truce.
We could have gotten stuck there. We might be stuck there. Better there than the all-out war. But better still to move on.
----------------------------

A TRUCE requires talks between opposing parties, and an effort from EACH side to at least listen to the other side's perspective, to quit characterizing the other side's point of view, and to acknowledge grudges.

In my opinion, in the recent flare-ups, people expressed their honest gripes, with a minimum of needling. That needed to happen, before any truce could be possible.

Just maybe, these exchanges cleared the air. Likely there's more turbulence coming. But I'm hoping we're about ready for the next stage -- and can aim to actually get along.

Since the cease fire worked better than I expected, I'm inclined to be optimistic.

(I wish I could be as optimistic about the bubbly Market.

PS - A point of reference, for perspective:

During our recent bad-hair day, there were 76 posts
---with a few related to investments / Ligand

That was an order of magnitude BETTER than most "normal" days in the time before our cease fire.

So, Cheers! We've made progress!! <G>
