<<I currently have a Dell 200MMX w/ 32 MB SDRAM>> I own the same type computer and 64M is the max ram you can install with the existing mother board. I increased from 32M to 64M and it did help quite a bit. Note! YOU WILL NOT NOTICE 2X SPEED. Since ram is so cheap now, contact Dell and see what they are offering for the additional 32M. I think its worth it.

Rich,
<<<The reason I am asking for you help is that for the last
few weeks whenever I am on SI and click on the "next"
button, my harddrive clicks away like mad for about 15
seconds and then the next message appears.>>>
Did this problem start a few weeks ago or has it always been slow? 32megs should be enough to flip through SI pages without writing to the hard drive. When you boot the computer, does it show 32 megs of RAM?
Good Luck,
Doug

This could also have to do with your internet cache or your history folder--not sure which. Windows may be kicking out some old pages to make room for new. There's something you can do, but I'm not sure what.

This is one of the best sources for ram. It is a division of Micron Technology and manufacture the ram for a lot of computer companies. I noticed that you ordered the ram from Dell. I did the same thing before hearing of this site from a friend.
