The stock is very closely held, basically there is about 5%-8% available for sale. There is 12,000,000 shares FD and that would mean that there is about 1,000,000 out there to purchase in both Canada and the US.

Most of the people I have talked to have bought there shares and will not bother to look at the price again until 2005 when the company expects tobe making 100,000 heartsavers a year. I know of 21 shareholders myself, because I told them to buy!

The real treat is that WHT has all the money it needs to finish trials....they are in Stage 1 now, we should hear something shortly!!??

Theoretically future growth to a 100,000 heart facility could be financed out of revenues from Heartsaver production during 2002,2003..but I am not sure if that is the intention.

There was a large write up on techs in Ottawa as well as Worldheart in the Ottawa Citizen, the link is in the the previous message. I was generally happy with it, but was rather perturbed with the "looming US" analysis. Thermocardiosystems is only a threat to WHT under one condition......a hostile takeover!!

Thermo just got FDA aprroval for a wired air pump that sits in your stomach.....this is not "leading edge technology"!! As Mr. Bryden said when questioned about Thermo, " I don't know about you, but I'd prefer to have my heart in my chest"!!

The heartsaver will be the first device on the market that operates in a totally enclosed environment(the body). Up to this point you either have to carry around a "Delco" battery or a "Sears" air compressor...or lie flat on your back in the intensive care.

Any future R&D by other companies to develop a heartsaver like device will take time. If Heartsaver is a success, than the appearance of another device that is unproven, when Heartsaver has a track record will not be that threatening! But, there is room in this market ,just like there is room for GM Chrysler and Ford!!

I think I'd like WHT to be the GM of Hearts!! (largest market cap)....even though I drive a Dodge Dually!!
