WSW analyst on 8 Jan: AOL rewarding over the long run
On 8 Jan, I watched Wall Street Week to hear the comments of Abby Cohen, whose remarks move the market almost as much as Greenspan's. In the discussions preceding her appearance, one of the regular analyst on WSW singled out AOL as an Internet stock that would make money over the long run. I was delighted that Ms Cohen, who remained steadfastly Bullish during the Oct 98 Correction, was so positive on the market's performance next year.

Personally, I'm concerned about AT&T/TCI and ATHM. The new AT&T TV adds about an auto speeding on the net attack AOL's soft underbelly-the lack of an announced broadband strategy. The older adds about two teenagers communicating after a date (exchanging an angel picture) show that AT&T also has great chatting capabilities. Thankfully, I bought ATHM weeks ago because of the bandwidth issue.
