Bill; That's why I'm more and more trying to focus on the indexers, and the new Sector SPDRs, it's not as exciting as picking stocks, but the bumps are smoothed out. When I'm not in an index it's just plays on very cheap stocks I see over sold but have some cash, volume, and not much downside. ------------- I just got well on that CMO I had to fight since back in August, got lucky on SME, and CCH , ( thanks to cheap commissions I can trade 5k blocks in that stuff and don't need a big move to make a big percentage gain ) Also scalped some of PAMM, and a little on HURC, and GRDN, the last two don't have enough volume so I may not play them again, the only stock I own is BIPL ; other than the position I'm still holding in CMO, but that seems safe now, and I have wrote calls on all of it so that to get caught in any more down side she would have to get below 3-3/16 to make me say ouch, at that point I think I would double up again anyway. ------------- For the most part SPDRs are my bag now. But I have to admit the internuts are tempting, ( to trade in ), darn the buy and hold crapola that's not for me, unless it's fixed interest rate bonds. I'm still about 80% bonds in spite of the fact I talk stocks a lot. I'm too old for the risk level in stocks except for a small part of my savings. I may up that come March and April , but I will need to be hitting on a regular beat and all cylinders to chance it. I'm a lot more conservative than I sometimes sound. My health is of concern now, I don't want to be deep in stocks, and have to be rushed to the hospital, my wife wouldn't know how to handle it, except to exit them all. The bonds she can understand. ------------- My Gaul bladder attack seems to have eased up this morning, ( at least that's what think it was ). Any way I'm feeling much better than I did the last two days, it's still there reminding me of how I'm wearing out, but at least it's not kicking my ass like it was. Jim
