<<<<IPO.COM says Marketwatch will open
with 2.75 million shares priced
from $10 to $12 each. Is 2.75 million
a large number or small which will
drive price up?

2.75 is a tiny number for a float, and perfect for an Internet rocket.
Also expect the price to move to at least $12-$14. (like it matters)

<<< Is this a $100 stock?

No for DBCC.

Very possible for MKTW in current environment... i.e. look at UBID - similar amount of shares, recent IPO.

Usually if you like a new internet IPO you should wait a few days after its IPO if you don't get any of the initial allotment. The 1st day is opens up crazy, sometimes rises slightly from there, than falls somewhat on profit taking over a few day period. Then all that clears up after a few days and the stocks with low float and a good story start moving up on their trajectory. That is usually followed by an "inital buy recommendation" by one of the underwriters further shooting the price up...

This is the usual pattern, but in an environment such as we had last week all that is thrown out the window.
