Dave,

I have a problem that I am unable to correct and I am hoping
that either you, or someone else knowledgeable can help.

I have a Dell 200MMX w/ 32MB SDRAM bought in Aug '97. Everything
was okay until my son came home from college a few weeks ago
and started downloading games and whatnot. About that time I
noticed that whenever I am in SI and click on the "next" button,
my hard drive starts clicking and spinning for as much as 15 seconds and then the next post will come up. I figured it was all the stuff
he downloaded but just before he left to go back to school, I
asked him to remove whatever he did. Well he did, and my computer
is just as slow at accessing posts on SI as ever. Fifteen seconds
of clicking and spinning between posts is enough to drive anyone
off the wall.

I have tried to clear memory cache, disk cache, cleared history,
rebooted, defragged. Don't know what else to do. Other programs
seem to work OK.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Rich
