The first year is a bit tiring. The second year is more than a bit tiring, but still pretty neat. They are not as fragile as we think. Fortunately.

Actually, taht first year's rather messy, if you ask me.

Our 5 year old is about to lose his first tooth. I'm told an Eisenhower silver dollar is the going rate these days. I think I got a dime in '65 when I lost my first tooth.

Same with sitters. My sisters used to make something like a half a buck an hour back in the mid '70s. We're paying $5 an hour these days. Dinner and a movie on Saturday can very easily become a $70 proposition.
