I think the Internet craze, earnings or not, is just in its infancy. So I would doubt that TSIG making a profit will hurt those internet stocks which are not profitable.

There is a school of investors who believes that once the internet companies ARE making money, they may begin to be valued by more traditional measures such as EPS rather than price to sales.

But I find it hard to believe that investors will actually penalize internet companies that are making a profit. (:>)

Only if TSIg is picked up by a reputable analystor analysts and then tsig's success is viewed as an intrusion into the potential success of amzn and cdnw etc.

Bald Eagle - I totally agree. "Profits" + "Internet" = "$$$" for TSIG.

An interesting excerpt from an article on Raging Bull by Andy Wang dated 6 JAN 99 - "Here's an even more sobering number that illustrates just how hard it is to make money on the web. Amazon.com (AMZN), everybody's e-commerce darling, loses $4 to $7 on every book it sells."

I just hope that one day TSIG shareholders are rewarded for the company realizing a profit commensurate to the degree AMZN shareholders have been rewarded for the company sustaining large losses. If TSIG reports a profit at the same time that companies like AMZN are continuing to report large losses - the reaction could be quite dramatic. :~)

Regards,

Phil
