Bunka,

Why would the stock be more valuable if you hold part of 35% and ABX controls 65%. What if ABX Buys it and then does nothing with it?

Look at Abber (ABZ.TO). Abber holds a minority stake and their stock stinks at $10.

Is that a possibility? Just wondering.

Chris,

I still makes little sense to me why Barrick makes a discount-to-market hostile bid at $4. As you say it may be some type of posturing but for a firm of this stature it seems more than a little odd.
