Steve: Wow, you are getting pretty serious. Yes, it can be difficult from the boonies. Luckily for me, as we are building a house in the boonies, the city we chose snuck into the digital loop that US West is running that will eventually offer cable modems and DSL...I was worried about that.

I really do not have any information regarding satellite connection but I know there is some growing service offering it. However, I thought it was via LOS (line of sight) or something.....but I am probably wrong. Perhaps someone else here has more info.

GOod luck and let me know what you come up with as I am sure other thread members here will be interested as well. I also look forward to your input on the thread. Welcome!

Trade well

TJ

Geigartt,
Welcome to the thread....I currently use BMI satellite for my real time feed...I run Windows on Wall street for stocks and optionVue for options...BMI is pretty expensive we pay about $316.00 per month for Dow jones headlines, NYSE,NASDQ,AMex prices....
You need to have a clear shot to the south to be able to receive the signal..At lease here in Missouri you do....We went with satellite vs internet because my internet connection gets pretty slow during peak hours and I did not want to have problems getting my data.

However, we are currently in the process of trying out DTN...BMi changed their option feeds and now they do not up date bid/ask until the options trade..We have found this very annoying when trying to decide which options to trade..We have not incountered this problem with stocks.....Plus DTN is about half the price of BMI....

If you want more details, or want to know how we like DTN, PM me and i will try and help...We should have DTN up an running by the 18th...
