Like I said before, it may be because I live in rural Kentucky. My ISP is in rural Missouri. We both have 56K V.90 modems. Can you imagine how many telephone lines I have to go through just to get to the real world? <g> I'm just being silly, I know. But it is pretty rinky-dink out here where I live.

I know nothing about computers, my sister in Oregon taught me how to trade stocks on the internet, that's what I use it for and for e-mail.
All I know is that I got the speed back. But, it is a Saturday, the markets are closed, so there are millions less people on the internet today. I guess Monday will tell me how much progress I have really made as far as the speed is concerned, when SI gets really busy again. If the computer bogs down again on Monday, then this wasn't the answer. I'll let you know on Monday if SI and the computer get slow again. It was only SI that was slow. But I don't read Yahoo unless I want some laughs. All I know is that this computer is as fast as the day I bought it and I am very happy about that.
