The Go2net home page and ESPECIALLY the Stocksite.com page is very well designed...I have been a full-time graphic designer for 20 years, and think the Stocksite has great design..well organized, clean which is important on a site, and with well designed and up to date classic typography that will stay up to date while horrible design "fads" come and go. (Remember all the unreadable typefaces of a few years ago? They would sink a website now!) The metacrawler page is well organized and designed too. On the other hand, the opening page of SI is tacky as hell, and looks unprofessional. The inside of the site is fine, but could use some redesign. Obviously part of the inconsistency is the buying of new sites. It would not be great to redesign acquisitions right away or you may lose the followers. The sites need to be merged and connected in look - but a little at a time. The new Hot 100 site is not too bad looking!
By the way, if you guys are listening - I work for Fortune 500 companies in the NY metropolitan area and am willing to trade design work for stock or options! Just find my e-mail in my membership info.

Go GNET - my 2nd stock purchase ever at 18..sure wish I bought lots lots more... but I'm still buying!
