RICHARD: any info on the buyout of ASCT by Parke Davis...? ASCT has two new drugs looking for approval by the FDA...so, possibly this isn't a good deal for them? From what I have heard the buyout should take them from about $4.00 to somewhere around $12.00. If the buyout does not occur they could go to $20.00 with FDA approval...thanks, Art

It's probably all the internuts thinking it's a year 2000 stock <G>.

Actually, it's interesting that "millennium" is one of the most commonly misspelled words (like in the title of this thread!).

Do a Usenet search for "millenium" and "milennium" on DejaNews or AltaVista and you'll see what I mean.

My own suggestion is that at midnight on 12/31/99 the masses can celebrate the turn of the "millenium/milennium" and the pedants can wait until 12/31/2000 to celebrate the turn of the "millennium."

BTW, for an interesting article on pharmacogenomics, check out:

The recent acquisition by Quintiles is also worth noting.
