New Site vs. Old Site....

I share KZNerd's opinion; frustrating that I have to go to archives to find a post from Mavis Scanlon on the Oilpatch; that was posted earlier that same day...

I like the new catagorization; I can scan all catagories without changing pages; but having to go to archives for a ''same-day'' post is a problem that has to be solved.

Still all in all; love TSC - I'm sure we'll see some revisions... now if Cramer will just see the light on the ''NOSX''...<VBG>.

Let customers choose their own interface

As you can see from my comments and the various responses, there is a range of opinions about the revised TheStreet.com web site. But why have a static design in the first place? Why not let us define our own interfaces like we can with stock portfolios on Yahoo! Finance?

I'd like to be able to set up multiple named profiles using options like these:

1) Sort articles by: category, author, or date/time (I generally prefer date/time order).

2) Select/de-select certain categories or authors (I'm not interested in articles on mutual funds).

3) Select the time period, e.g. last 24 hours, from 24-72 ours ago, etc.

4) Display icons, photos, or neither (I like icons).

5) Include/exclude stock ticker (I don't want the ticker).

6) Choice of color schemes (I don't like pastel yellow).

Comments, anyone?

-Greg

KZNERD<<<<All I ask for is one page where I can see all the columns posted chronologically in the last 24 hours. And it would also be nice to have another page with those posted say between 24 hours and 72 hours ago.>>>>

You know in a brilliant stroke of genius <G> late on a Friday night in nov of 1997 I sent an e-mail to David Kansas and requested exactly
what you mentioned above, he said it was a good idea and and he
would throw it in the suggestion hopper.

The archives seem to be a mess now that you have to identify the date
that you want to view and you may not know what date you are in search
of.

It is very difficult with this new archive system to find the chronology of the writings as you stated.

Best Regards,

John
