Here is some analysis in a story on Bloomberg regarding MSN. I think the key is the possible sale of MSN Internet Access so that they could start pushing NT. Probably a lot more money in NT than ISP.
The fact that they declined to comment on number of Internet Access customers (estimated between 1 and 3 million users) is an indication to me that they plan to announce this information at the earnings release. I think they have done better than this--which may complicate plans to sell the ISP business -- they want more money for this. Maybe being a Yahoo! is a better idea than being an AOL and a Yahoo!!
Just a possibility.
