To "M.Dion". my friend. have you ever heard of "day-traders"? these people (idiots) buy and sell THE SAME STOCK of the SAME COMPANY sometimes two (2) to three (3) times a day - sometimes more then that!! they don't really make any money doing such nonsense. they will TELL you that they are making money doing "it" - but they're really NOT. they mostly do "it" for the "excitement" - sounds "crazy" doesn't it? guess what - it IS crazy!! anyway - that is what "day-traders" do and this EXTREMELY "rapid-turn-over" type of "investing" can literally "churn" the ENTIRE "float" of a company (any company) in any one (1) given "trading" day. (BTW) i STRONGLY recommend that you do NOT EVER try this "day-trading" stuff. trust me - i know how really STUPID it is to do such nonsense for the very simple reason that i use to be one (1) of the idiots that did it!! stay "long", my friend, and sleep well at night. God bless.

I will agree with MakeMoney...It is easy. Especially when traders know a stock will be moving rapidly..they watch and grab the down ticks, sell it for a profit on the upticks, then try and re-buy it again and again. The rapid movement like that alerts other traders out there and so even more jump in. Then others who would like to hold for at least a week or longer, and are looking for a semi-long momentum play, see the alert to the volume, and end up buying what the day trader just sold, etc. etc. etc.

I do not have the confidence or the guts to try that! I am not that good at it....And I hate the taste of dog food, as that is what I would be eating, when I failed miserably!!! WOOF! :>)

M.Dion,

I have watched allot of cnbc(don't laugh) stuff on internet ipo's...I believe I remember they reported one trading 3X's the float in one day.

Lychos I think but it might have been another..

One of the things about daytrading with some discount brokers is that you only pay one commission to buy as many times as you want if it's in the same day and same for selling..

However I do not know if the company is selling some shares to cover some costs...There is nothing wrong with this as long as the end result is positive IMHO.

Regards,
FP
