I have read this site for over a year but have contributed very little to it. I have followed the NWT diamonds since 1994.
Currently the market is LOOKING for a big winner since there has been a scarcity since the brex scam.
The one thing that wsp currently has that no one else has IMHO is many believers and great subtile promotion. It has a possible great future but no pipe to date. It has plenty of $$$$ and the means to raise more thereby diluting retail shareholders and putting a bigger slice of the pie into the sourses of its $$$$. No problem as this is the name of the game.
Wsp intends to spend this winter the second most money on its snap lake prop. The most money to be spent is by mpv on its claims but in reality not a cent will be coming out of mpv's pocket as the funds will be those of Debeers. With all this exploration money being spent mpv trades at about 50% wsp values. Possibly the hype on wsp is a little overblown.
Dont get me wrong. I hope wsp hits bigtime as it will help all others in the NWT and would establish the diamond industry for a long time in the NWT.
Just my 10 cents worth.
cheers

Please refer to post 10814 where I explained the general approach to private placements and how one limits the risk involved. Please note that in Canada one does not have to disclose a short position that is not covered. So the profit is simply locked in at a price that one is able to get from the market by having a nice promotional campaign drive the stock higher. It is also obvious that delayed drilling results give the placees or other close parties more time to affect this proceedure. Afterall, if you put in millions of dollars up front, wouldn't you want enough time to lock in a profit? So that is the game which is being played over the last while. If WSP come up with good results and continues to produce the same, the warrants will be exercised which gives the placees another bonus for their up-front capital. If the results do not deliver the goods, the placees were rewarded for playing the game and will be around for the next one.
