Following up on the weak link statement which I suggested was MMG Direct. This link provides a good understanding of MMG Direct and their operations:

aime-inc.com

Briefly:

About MMG
MMG Direct, Inc. established itself in 1990 as an integrated direct marketing and consulting firm offering turnkey direct marketing solutions to the non-profit fundraising industry. Its clients include organizations such as the American Lung Association, the National Kidney Foundation, American Diabetes Association and the Republican National Committee. More recently MMG has developed its commercial telemarketing division with such notable customers as MBNA, Wells Fargo Bank, MCI, Ford Motor and J. Walter Thompson. Over its eight plus years in business, MMG has expanded to four locations across the country with outbound telemarketing capacity exceeding 80,000 hours per month. MMG has also developed a profitable marketing program that is successful in penetrating the sub-prime credit card market. MMG's bank relationships within the sub-prime market include several key industry participants.

Very interesting! Sub-prime market card marketing and telemarketing. Telemarketing is an essential ingredients in obtaining memebership for just about any endeavor.... including a private wholesale club base too I would imagine.

Think about how the advent of the Internet has changed the complexion of tele-marketing. Instead of a boiler-room full of people calling residences and getting 100 rejections for each interested party.... the interactive banners on various websites are there 24 hours a day flashing in front of viewers. Wouldn't that be interesting if those people are there to surf/research say a new refrigerator on RDIM's website. A captive audience that is considering a purchase of a major appliance who may consider a sub-prime market card.

Conversely RDIM could use MMG Direct to originally obtain (via traditional telemarketing) new Club Members into the RDIM fold for which later MMG Direct might be able to offer their sub-prime market offering when those members make a purchase. Check and mate.

I believe I mentioned that RDIM would have to beat the current retailers exorbitant and usorous rates. I also mentioned that Yahoo has a Platinum Card at a fixed rate of 9.9%. How do I know? I saw the ad scrolling across one day... clicked on it, liked what I saw and applied on-line for it. About two or three weeks later in was in my hands via snail-mail. Painless and easy... and they didn't even need for anyone to call me during dinner.

Too bad the MMG Direct site is still under construction. I see a very good synergy here if this unfolds the way I think it might. What do you think about this possible synergy developing?
