Barb,

I to hold c and cmb as core positions. Looking to add wfc on a pull back later this yr., if it happens...good fundamentals roe, roa, earnings, margins, steady growth and position.

May want to check out this link before buying HLT. Also, news, financials, up/down grades on yahoo.

fnews.yahoo.com

The second half of 99 may show a slow down of the economy ie. earnings, which will affect business travel ie. airlines, hotels etc. A close friend works for 3M and said they have been scaling back on travel costs by using a video conference as a surrogate, when they can, since their last 2 QTRS of poor earnings. Analysts regard 3M as a barometer of the general economic growth of the US. Hotels and gaming are not particularly hot sectors now. Are you considering this a LT value or turn around play? Your post was good because it made me think and do some limited DD on the companies and sector. Other sectors seem to provide more potential reward? JMHO and the more important question is BWDIK;)
Regards,Stan
