<"I think drivers should, perhaps, just drive,'' he said. >

And perhaps lurkers should, perhaps, just lurk! Nevertheless I've been having some thoughts that disturb me (since I've been long the Q thru many of it's sine-cycles). People are mentioning a buyout possibility. I had always thought likely suitors would be noka or motorola or even (gasp) ericy! Now I fear its very likely to be MSFT. The Wireless knowledge JV would be the perfect cover...a handy excuse for MSFT execs to examine the books and to meet and appear with Q execs without raising suspicion. This makes things much more possible in my mind. And all this just gets me thinking.... If such a thing were to come down, what would I get for my q share(s)? What say would I have? What would be my rights? Who would figure the value of Q in terms of MSFT's (inflated) "currency". I'd like to hold out for the equivalent of what the price of a Q share would be if it had a leading PE equal to that of MSFT (at least 80 times earnings!) otherwise the MSFT currency doesnt do it for me!
Anyone with experience in such things wish to comment on this hypothetical....It may just NOT be a wasted exercise! -

Toyota owns either DDI or IDO. (I don't remember which one they own.) Kyocera either owns or has a big piece of the other company.
