some quick and simple answers

CBS wanted the experience of Web expertise that DBCC had early on in the game, and obviously have to share their interest with them in IPO'ing Marketwatch. MSN's a pretty dismal failure considering who's running the show there, it's so funny to read that the great AT&T, another web failure till now, is even considering buying MSN. NBC may distance itself from MicroSoft, but how that will effect MSNBC is anyone's guess, I'm just provoking us to think about these things when considering CBS's desired roll online. Would'nt it be ironic if after being such a ratings failure on TV, CBS emerged as a major web force with their new AOL friends. Just goes to show you why LCOS's CEO said Thursday in Vegas that he's more afraid of a 14 year old writing better software instead of playing with a skateboard, then he is afraid of the large industrial powers who on whole have faired very poorly with their online initiatives.
