I just ordered a Gateway computer. First time to buy one
of them. I have a Pionex, a Ultra, Packard-Bell & a Hitachi.
But I actually know very little about their workings. I seem
to forget what I learned since I usually don't have to 'fix' the
same problem twice in the short term.
This thread has helped me a lot, Thanks to those who helped!

The computer I'm currently on seems to lock-up often when
I'm on the net. It seems to have something to do with clicking
on something twice or when I have already clicked on one thing
then click on another before it has loaded. It gets frustrating.
It seems to have something to do with the speed of the internet.
Does anyone else have this problem? I read something about
it here, I thought, but it didn't seem like the same problem.
Thanks to whoever can help me with it.

BTW, I have ordered a 450MHz Gateway. Which includes:
512k Cache Memory
56k V.90 high speed Modem?
10 gb Hard drive
DVD 3 rom
19" monitor
Windows 98
MS works 4.5
Ms Money 98
Home Ecentials Quicken? Which I was told was made to
keep track of the bookkeeping when trading.
I also ordered it with a "natural" keyboard.
I also bought the extended 3 yr. warranty.
This set me back about $2700.

I hope I have done the right thing.
I may not want to know if I made a mistake. But I don't know
enough and one of my computers always gets a window that
pops up "disc space getting low" or something similar to that.

I was told to "clone" the hard drive and install a larger one.
But figured I would need so many other software upgrades,
it would be cheaper and easier for a computer "dummie" to
just replace it.

Now, what Do I do with the old one? Give it to the kids and
let the wife get PO'ed because they didn't get the new one?

ANY, Any advice at all, will be appreciated!
